Job Overview:

As an Accountant, you will play a critical role in processing the incoming payments and tracking the payments both internally and externally. You need to manage the overall financial aspects of a resort or hospitality establishment. By staying complaint to the regulations, you need to ensure the accuracy of financial documents. Your need to oversee the financial records, transactions, and reporting, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and financial transparency. This role involves conducting and forecasting risk analysis assessments related to finance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and other financial transactions.
  • Book keeping: Record daily financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments, in the appropriate accounting software or system.
  • Budgeting: Collaborate with management to prepare and monitor budgets, providing insights and analysis to assist in decision-making.
  • Financial Reporting: Generate regular financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide an overview of the resort's financial performance.
  • Tax Compliance: Ensure compliance with local tax regulations and prepare tax returns, including income tax, sales tax, and other relevant filings.
  • Payroll Management: Process and manage employee payroll, including salary calculations, deductions, and taxes.
  • Financial Analysis: Conduct financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, and present findings to management.
  • Audit Support: Prepare financial documents and records for internal and external audits, assisting auditors with the necessary information and documentation.
  • Accounts Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements, accounts payable, and accounts receivable to maintain accurate financial records.
  • Expense Control: Monitor and control expenses to ensure financial discipline and adherence to budgets.
  • Financial Planning: Assist in developing financial strategies and forecasts to support the resort's growth and profitability.
  • Compliance and Regulations: Stay updated with accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure compliance and accurate financial reporting.
